Cancún and the Yucatán
A five-day trip to Cancún with beaches, good food, and a day exploring the Yucatán.
A few days in Mexico
Our five-day trip to Cancún in March was a nice little break from the cold weather back home. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, so this trip was mostly about relaxing, enjoying the sunshine, warm water, good food, and spending lots of time on the beach.
Most days were pretty easygoing. We spent time around the resort, walked along the beach, enjoyed the pools, ate probably a little too much, and didn’t really have to worry about planning much.
And yes, I still managed to take many photos. :)
Cancún
We stayed in Cancún and spent most of our time around the resort and the beach.
The weather was great, the Caribbean water was beautiful, and sometimes it was nice just to sit around and do absolutely nothing.
There were plenty of opportunities for photos too, especially around sunrise and sunset.
Chichén Itzá and the Yucatán
We did take one full day away from the resort to explore a little more of the Yucatán.
The main stop was Chichén Itzá. We also visited a cenote and stopped in Valladolid and Kaua along the way.
It was a long day, but I’m glad we did it. It gave us a chance to see something completely different from the beaches and resorts of Cancún.
A short getaway
Five days definitely went by quickly.
A lot of relaxing, a little exploring, plenty of good food, beautiful weather, and another few hundred photos to sort through when we got home. :)
